This process is mainly used in Chemical, Oil Industries and Edible Oil plants. Vacuum range of 660 to 740 mm hg is employed for achieving the required deodorization.
There are generally two type of deodorization based on industry divisions.
- Chemical Vapour deodorization
- Edible oil deodorization.
To remove the odours from the oil & chemicals and to make them more sustainable in the atmosphere deodorization is carried out under vacuum. As the process involves the removal of odours there is also a significant amount of fatty acid vapors which can be removed with large capacity at various vacuum depending on the liquid handled.
Chemical vapour deodorization is slightly an untidy process which includes a number of gases and vapors removed which are formed under reaction during the vacuuming at specific temperature. This process is with medium vacuum of 650 to 680 mm Hg. Where JOYAM has offered it Two stage and Single stage Liquid ring vacuum pumps.
Edible oil deodorization is carried out for two purposes first is the removal of base odour which is responsible for the foul smell of the oil , second is for the alteration of properties thereby increasing the life of the final product.
Temperature and vacuum range permits the use of Two Stage vacuum pumps & Oil ring vacuum pumps. JOYAM Vacuum pumps are used in a combined manner with the Steam jet ejector system as booster for boosting up the vacuum. Process is quite popular for the edible oil as well as the hair oils.
With the process carried out for a batch of specific timings the product is a cut achieved that can sustain for a longer life as well as it has much diluted colors and odors, normally during this process the fragrance is added at the later stage to improve the product aesthetics .
JOYAM offered a number of combinations with ejector and liquid ring vacuum pump and even with the liquid jet ejector for oily mixes.
Due to high temperature encountered in most processes and Incoming Vapor Cooler as well as the Scrubber can be suggested for the hazardous chemicals.
